Thanks to our donors and supporters, DAC programs are growing and we continue to be committed to long-term positive change for Toronto communities.

We have made a long-term investment in Toronto with our current Samba Kidz and Youth programs. Samba Kidz has empowered inner-city youth in Toronto through group-inspired world music, percussion and art projects that culminate in professional performance opportunities throughout the city. Programming has revolved around playing music, writing stories, acting, costume design, creating props and décor, and eventually stage production. Since 2004, the Samba Kidz program has directly affected over 300 children and families in St. Jamestown, Davenport-Perth, Regent Park, Jane-Finch and other low-income neighbourhoods, and participants have performed for thousands of people in Toronto communities. Throughout the year, the Samba Kidz & Youth perform and teach workshops at community events, festivals, and fundraisers. Our programs are currently funded through grants, corporate sponsorships, private donations and fundraising events. Your donation will go towards offering programming to Toronto communities that are in need of artistic exposure and creative expression.
