Adult Drumming Workshops - Samba Camp

Samba Camp is an ongoing series of beginner workshops open to anyone interested in learning to play percussion in an ensemble. No experience is required, all instruments are provided.

Workshops are led by Rick Shadrach Lazar
When: Sundays 11:30am - 1:30pm
Cost: $10 / class

About Samba Squad

Created by award-winning percussionist Rick Shadrach Lazar, SAMBA SQUAD is an innovative batteria (drum corps) born out of the Brazilian tradition of Batucada and Escola de Samba. This vibrant 20-plus member tear-down-da-house percussion posse takes you on a dance-till-you-drop tour of global grooves.

Team Building Workshops

DAC's Team Building Workshops are geared to businesses, Ontario non-profit organizations, communities and any group interested in learning to play the drums in a fun and non-competitive environment. Our staff hold workshops at Drum Artz Community Centre, community centres, and conference centres. These workshops focus on team building and breaking down cultural and racial barriers through communal drumming.
